Kimberly A. Belanger Rhorer

Kimberly A. Belanger Rhorer, of Bell City, La., passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 in Lake Charles, La. She was 52 years old.
Kimberly was a 1988 graduate of Grand Lake High School. Following high school graduation, she pursued a nursing career, graduating with a Batchelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from McNeese State University. Emergency Room nursing was her calling, and after practicing for ten years, she returned to school, graduating with her Master’s in Nursing from Northwestern State University. She continued practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Neurosurgery until the time of her death.
Her life was defined by her love for friends, family, her pets and her passion for nursing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of nine years, Jason; children, Austin Rhorer and granddaughter, Karsyn, of Navarre Beach, Fla., and Autumn Rhorer of Bell City, La.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Kala) Billedeaux of Lake Charles; her paternal grandmother, Lola Billedeaux of Lake Charles; her sisters, Kristi LeDoux (Raymond) and Keri Vick (Mitch); nieces and nephews, Gradey Arbour (Bailey), Collyn Arbour, Kelli LeDoux, Tony LeDoux, and Annie Vick. Also left to cherish her memory is her lifelong cherished friend, Kirk “Squiggy” Rutherford; countless friends and her beloved work family.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, George “Tony” Belanger Jr.; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Brown (Verd) LeBoeuf, and Mr. and Mrs. George (Flora) “Jolly” Belanger Sr.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Father Edward J. Richard, MS will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
