James Lynn Quibodeaux, also lovingly known as Quibby, passed away Oct. 21, 2022, in Merida, Mexico, after a 10-month battle with cancer.
James was born Dec. 20, 1968, in Nederland, Texas, and spent most of his life in SETX and SWLA. James worked in the offshore industry for over 30 years.
He had many opportunities to work overseas. While traveling, he loved meeting new people, learning about the culture, and learning to speak the languages. Quibby was a good Cajun cook and loved to have good times with whoever he met along the way. Quibby worked hard, played hard, and mostly loved hard.

He is also survived by his partner, Dia Sanchez; and his sisters, Susan Clubb (Barry), Rita Landry (Jeff), Tricia Gentile, Tonya Harst and Bridgett Quibodeaux (Tammy); and his lifelong friend, Doug Sartin he called his brother.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Sue Knoblock; his father, Morris Quibodeaux; and brother-in-law, Kirt Gentile.
Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life for James (Quibby) on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at 14680 Garner Rd., Beaumont, Texas, from 12-4 p.m.
