SW La. school lunch menus Nov. 14-19

The following menus for Nov. 14-19 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Barbecue rib burger on a bun, sweet potato French fries, lettuce/tomato cup, pineapple tidbits, apple, cinnamon sugar cookie.

TUESDAY: Meatloaf or shepherd’s pie, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, whole-wheat mini biscuit, applesauce, plums.

WEDNESDAY: Red beans, sausage or ham over rice, cooked carrots, cornbread, pears, orange.

THURSDAY: Spaghetti and meat sauce, mixed peas and carrots, garden salad with dressing, whole-wheat bread stick, melon cup, banana.

FRIDAY: No school.


MONDAY: Chocolate crescent, cheddar cheese slice or string, cheese stick, apricots, banana.

TUESDAY: Sausage, egg and cheese wrap or cheese toast, graham crackers, pineapple tidbits, apple.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon roll or blueberry and cream cheese stick, yogurt with granola, applesauce, plums.

THURSDAY: Scrambled egg, sausage link, pears, peaches.

FRIDAY: No school.



MONDAY: Pizza, corn, green beans, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Manager’s choice.

WEDNESDAY: Ham, cornbread dressing, broccoli cheese and rice casserole, peaches, rolls, sweet potato pie.

THURSDAY: Sloppy joe on bun, sandwich salad cup, potato rounds, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: Corn dog, sweet potato fries, relish tray with dip, brownies.


MONDAY: Cereal, toast, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: Muffins, mixed fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Cheese toast, mixed fruit.

THURSDAY: Ham, toast, sliced apples.

FRIDAY: Waffle dunkers, yogurt, sliced apples.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, creamy mac and cheese, mixed vegetables, sweet potato fries, raisins.

TUESDAY: Homestyle chili, Fritos, broccoli and cheese, seasoned green beans, cornbread muffins, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Cajun chicken pasta, glazed carrots, broccoli and cheese, Italian rolls, sweet pineapple.

THURSDAY: Thanksgiving meal, turkey roast, cornbread dressing, cinnamon sweet potatoes, honey wheat roll, pumpkin cookies.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburgers, French fries, baked beans, cinnamon apple slices.


MONDAY: Crunch cereal, peaches.

TUESDAY: Pancakes, sliced pears.

WEDNESDAY: Maple French toast sticks, Mandarin oranges.

THURSDAY: Build-your-own parfait —yogurt, granola, blueberries.

FRIDAY: Biscuits, scrambled eggs, cool fruit mix.

TUESDAY: Pork roast and gravy, rice, cornbread bowl, orange-glazed carrots, side salad, pineapple chunks.

WEDNESDAY: Beef and cheese nachos, tortilla chips, fruit cocktail.

THURSDAY: Sliced ham, yeast rolls, sweet potato casserole, green beans, warm peaches.

FRIDAY: Popcorn chicken, rip-stick breadstick, potato wedges, corn, banana slices with strawberry puree.


MONDAY: Chicken maple waffle sandwich, Rice Krispies treat, apple cup.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain pancakes, Goldfish crackers, peach cup.

WEDNESDAY: Fruit and granola parfait,

THURSDAY: Glazed donut, animal cookies, oranges.

FRIDAY: Blueberry waffles, pineapple cup, bacon.

MONDAY: Hot dog on a whole-wheat bun, French fries, ranch-style beans, watermelon, coleslaw.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain spaghetti and meat sauce, steam corn, toss salad cup, whole-wheat garlic bread, cantaloupe.

WEDNESDAY: Sliced turkey, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, English peas, cranberry sauce, sweet potato and apple crunch, fresh fruit, whole-wheat roll.

THURSDAY: Taco tater tots, Mexicana corn, taco salad cup, fruit, raisin bread.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburger on a whole-wheat bun, vegetable soup, fresh carrots/cukes/broccoli cup, apple wedges.


MONDAY: French toast sticks, sausage patty, pear halves.

TUESDAY: Whole-wheat grits, sliced ham, fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Assorted cereal, cinnamon graham cracker, pineapple tidbits.

THURSDAY: Apple cinnamon whole-grain muffin, apple wedges.

FRIDAY: Pancake sausage on a stick, pear halves.
