Ted Louis Smith, 83, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, in his residence.
He was a native of Victor, Iowa, and had been a resident of the Moss Bluff / Lake Charles area, moving from Colorado. Ted had previously enjoyed hunting and fishing and also spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Yong Cho Smith of Sulphur; his daughters, Susan Stevens and husband Alvin of Moss Bluff, and Kimberly Miles and husband Jon of Josephine, Texas; his sister, Carole Decoster and husband Rich of Iowa; eight grandchildren, Dominic Stevens, Kade Stevens, Gavin Stevens, Zachary Bernard, Kaitlynn Bernard, Joseph Bernard, Karissa Miles and Jon Miles; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Virginia Smith; and his brother, Gene Smith.
A private memorial service will be held by his family.
