Leland “Toby” LaBove

Toby LaBove, 85, of Sulphur, La. passed away on Sept. 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Leland was born on March 29, 1937, in Hackberry, La. to Shelton and Melian LaBove. He enjoyed being a musician for many years playing the Fiddle, Crabbing, and being a Crane Operator worldwide. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 15 years, Lena LaBove; children, Gail LaBove, Tony LaBove, Latisha LaBove Robertson and husband James; step-children, Linda Jahnke, Vance Thomas, and Letha Thomas; grandchildren, Matthew Morales, Jacob Morales and wife Courtney, Nicole Cameron and husband Brandon, Nathan LaBove, Amber Petite and husband Derin, and Josh LaBove; great grandchildren, Anna Grace Morales, Madeline Morales, Addison Morales, Maddie Petite, Macie Petite, Brandon Fillip, Ethan Crawford, Charlee Cameron, Posie Cameron, Axel LaBove, and Skylynn LaBove.
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Geneva Hardee; siblings, Eviola Andrus and Alvia LaBove.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Sulphur with Fr. Tim Goodly officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South.
