Robert Wayne Gary, 59 of Lake Charles, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2022. He was born on March 20, 1963, in Jennings, La., to Robert and Bonnie Gary.
Robert attended Barbe High School where he was part of the rodeo team. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish, camp, and barbecue. His favorite was cooking barbecue for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Beverly Ann Gary; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Gary; one son, Justin Smith and wife Veronica; two grandchildren, Dylan and Dawson Smith; his parents, Bob and Bonnie Welch Gary; one brother, Mark Gary and wife Donna; two sisters, Linda Drost and husband Rahn, and Susan Gary Courville; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his dog, Annie
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at 1 p.m. in Johnson Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Rocky East officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and last until service time.
