State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating an early morning house fire that claimed the life of a woman in Oakdale.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The Oakdale Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire in the 300 block of Anderson Street around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, according to SFM Public Affairs Director Ashley Rodrigue.

Two adult males were able to escape the residence, but a female victim was located inside the home, she said.

An investigation into the fire is ongoing with more information to be released as it becomes available, according to Rodrigue.
