Margaret Alice Leblanc Myers, 85 years old, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She was born on May 3, 1937 to Alphy and Rose McMullen Myers in Mermentau, La. She grew up in Moss Bluff, and graduated from Gillis High School. She will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Louis Myers; her three children and their spouses, Karen Myers Smith (Robert), Douglas Myers (Joanne) and Donna Myers Cornett (William Sr.); her five grandchildren, Michelle “Shelly” Smith, Laura Myers Schader, Ashley Smith-Kock (Charles), Sasha Myers (Josh Laverne), Jennifer Myers, William Cornett, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Jayden Myers, Nola Schader, Finley Myers, Eiley Laverne and River Kock.
She will join her parents, Alphy LeBlanc and Rose Olivia McMullen LeBlanc; and her brothers and sisters in heaven.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Sonnier will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the start of the service at 2 p.m.
