Hanemann named to council
BATON ROUGE — Brook A. Hanemann of Lake Charles has been appointed to the Louisiana State Arts Council.
The council receives applications for matching federal funds available from the National Endowment for the Arts and such other funds made available to the council and make recommendations thereon.
The council reviews and approves or rejects said grant applications from other governmental units, community arts councils, and other private, nonprofit, and tax-exempt groups. Additionally, the council advises departmental officers on the design and execution of an annual state plan consistent with the goals and policies of the department as provided by federal and state law, rules, and regulations, and submits the plan to the National Endowment for the Arts.
Hanemann is director of banners at McNeese State University. She was nominated by Partnership for the Arts and will represent the 3rd Congressional District and the 5th Planning District.
First Federal Bank promotions
The Board of Directors of First Federal Bank of Louisiana has announced seven recent promotions.
Julie Miller has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Loan Production Support Manager.
Crystal Reyes has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Compliance Officer.
Heidi Bloomer, Records Management Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Megan Dimas, Deposit Administration Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Alicia Mhire, Loan Servicing Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Lisa Ledano, Branch Operations Manager, has been promoted to Bank Officer.
Logan Fontenot, Business Relationship Specialist, has been promoted Bank Officer.
Miller has 30 years of banking experience and her responsibilities include planning and overseeing the direction and development of loan underwriting, processing and closing.
Reyes has been with First Federal Bank for 14 years. She is responsible for managing all facets of compliance affecting bank operations, marketing, deposits and lending.
Bloomer manages the Records Management Department and the Deposit Services Department. Bloomer began her career in banking in 2008 when she joined First Federal Bank.
Dimas has been with First Federal Bank for 19 years. Dimas oversees all aspects of deposit accounts and the Call Center department.
Mhire is responsible for overall loan and credit card operations and has been a banking professional for over 18 years.
Ledano has been with First Federal Bank since 1991. Ledano ensures customer service and compliance objectives are met by overseeing operational practices across all branch locations.
Fontenot has been with First Federal Bank for five years. Fontenot is responsible for maintaining and developing business banking relationships with clients.
Haymon named 2nd VP of PJAL
Vernon Parish Police Juror Kenny Haymon was named 2nd Vice President to the Police Jury Association of Louisiana recently.
Haymon was promoted without opposition and was sworn in during the association’s 98th annual convention in Lake Charles in March. He had served as the association’s 3rd Vice President for the past year.
Haymon said it was an honor for him to be named the 2nd VP of the executive board, and said he is proud to be recognized by an association that he said works hard to make a positive impact on communities throughout the state.
Haymon is a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and currently resides in Leesville with his wife, Jessica and their son, Jace.
He has served as District 12 police juror since January 2008.
