S.J. Welsh, F.K. White and LeBlanc Middle schools will remain closed Friday.

There are still a number of staff who are quarantined due to testing positive or due to potential COVID-19 exposure and the school is still unable to obtain all needed substitutes to conduct face-to-face instruction tomorrow, said Calcasieu Parish School Board spokesperson Holly Holland.

Virtual learning opportunities will continue to be available to students based on staff availability.

The School Board is asking students and parents to continue checking their CPSB email frequently for instructional updates from the school.
