SW La. school lunch menus Jan. 10-14

The following menus for Jan. 10-14 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Barbecue rib burger on a bun, sweet potato fries, lettuce/tomato cup, pineapple tidbits, apple, cinnamon sugar cookie.

TUESDAY: Meatloaf or Shepard’s pie, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, whole-grain mini biscuit, applesauce, plums.

WEDNESDAY: Red beans, sausage or ham over rice, cooked carrots, cornbread, pears, orange.

THURSDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, mixed peas and carrots, garden salad, whole-wheat bread stick, melon cup, banana.

FRIDAY: Beef burrito or cheese quesadilla, Spanish rice, taco salad cup with shredded cheese, whole-kernel corn, strawberry cup, apple.


MONDAY: Grape or chocolate crescent, string cheese stick, apricots, banana.

TUESDAY: Sausage, egg and cheese wrap or cheese toast, yogurt cup, pineapple tidbits, apple.

WEDNESDAY: Breaded chicken biscuit or breakfast pizza, chocolate graham cracker, applesauce, plums.

THURSDAY: Scrambled eggs, cinnamon roll, pears, peaches.

FRIDAY: French toast sticks with syrup, hash brown, melon cup, banana.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, apple, whole-wheat roll.

TUESDAY: Beef burrito, Spanish rice, red beans, taco salad cup, mixed fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Beef vegetable soup, grilled cheese, relish tray with dip, peaches.

THURSDAY: Chicken Alfredo, broccoli, bread stick, fruit cup, berry smooth dip.

FRIDAY: No school.


MONDAY: Breakfast sausage pizza, pears.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon rolls, mixed fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Western scramble toast, peaches.

THURSDAY: Pancake and sausage wrap, pears.

FRIDAY: No school.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, mixed vegetables, kiwi.

TUESDAY: Home-style chili with shredded cheese, seasoned green beans, chilled peaches, Fritos corn chips, cornbread muffin, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Cajun chicken pasta, grape tomatoes, tossed salad, cantaloupe, Italian roll.

THURSDAY: Jambalaya, sweet potatoes, cornbread muffins, applesauce cups.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburger, lettuce cup with sliced pickles, French fries, strawberries.


MONDAY: Assorted crunchy cereals, red apples.

TUESDAY: Pancake sliders, diced pears.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon toast, scrambled eggs, fruit cocktail.

THURSDAY: Build-your-own parfait, yogurt, cinnamon granola, blueberries.

FRIDAY: Breakfast burrito wrap, banana.



MONDAY: Pepperoni pizza, celery sticks, cucumbers, flame-roasted corn, orange-glazed carrots, tropical fruit salad.

TUESDAY: Beef fingers, creamy gravy, yeast rolls, redskin garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, applesauce salad.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken nuggets, three-cheese cavatappi, sweet potato shoestring fries, warm peaches.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage jambalaya, baked beans, baby carrots and grape tomatoes, citrus fruit, vanilla pudding.

FRIDAY: Mini corn dogs, mac and cheese, potato wedges, cauliflower, triple berry and pineapples.


MONDAY: McGriddle, Rice Krispies Treats, cherry/blue raspberry cup,

TUESDAY: Egg and cheese sliders, mandarin orange cup, sausage.

WEDNESDAY: Banana split, tater triangles

THURSDAY: Bacon breakfast pizza, pear cup.

FRIDAY: Cinnamon roll, strawberry mango cup.

TUESDAY: Chicken nuggets, mac attack and cheese, green beans, chilled pear halves, whole-wheat roll, salad bar.

WEDNESDAY: Taco salad with whole-grain chips, Mexicana corn, taco salad cup, fruit, raising bread, salad bar.

THURSDAY: Chicken and dumplings, mixed vegetables,s chilled peaches, ice cream, cornbread, salad bar.

FRIDAY: Cheesy chili mac or lasagna, buttered corn, cream coleslaw, fruit, whole-garlic bread, salad bar.
