Hunter Quarles

Hunter Quarles, 20, of Sulphur, passed away on Oct. 28, 2021, in Sulphur, La.

He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Jarret and Marissa Quarles. Hunter loved trucks and video games, baseball, and soccer. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and traveling. Hunter was a 2019 graduate of Sulphur High School.

Hunter is survived by his father, Jarret Quarles; his two sisters, McKinley and Kaylee Quarles; grandparents, Christi Davalos and Bill and Marla Saulnier; his aunts and uncles, Joel Higgins, Debbie Daigle, Justin Quarles, Troylynette and Steve Monk, Nicole Graham, Karen Montelaro, Donna Doyle, Reba Daniels and Terry Miller; his cousins, Miranda Daigle, Taylor Kellogg, and Johnathan Farr; and his godparents, Donald and Janay Wanoreck. Hunter was preceded in death by his mom, Marissa Quarles.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Aubrey Guilbeau and Father Tim Goodly officiating. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, from 4 – 9 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with a rosary recited by the Immaculate Conception ACTS ministry at 6 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday from 10  a.m. until time to leave for the church.
