Cortney Renee Smith Montgomery, 39, of Moss Bluff, LA, passed away on October 23, 2021.

She was born in Sulphur, LA to parents Gary and Teresa Smith on October 2, 1982. She was a graduate of Sulphur High, Lamar University, and McNeese University. She was the nursing director for Landmark of Rayne. She was a member of the Catholic faith and attended St. Theodore’s Catholic Church in Moss Bluff, LA.

She is welcomed into heaven by her father; Gary Smith, grandfather, Richard George,  pawpaw, Jimmy Smith and aunt, Karla Fisher

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; Robert Montgomery of Moss Bluff, LA, mother; Terri Bulla of Sulphur, LA, mom #2; Tammy O’Quinn, of Sulphur, LA, step-sister; Amber Bernhardt of Lake Charles, LA, sons; Tristan Fuselier of Kansas, Keaton Fuselier of Kansas and Declan Liam Joseph Montgomery of Moss Bluff, LA, step-sons; Blake Montgomery of Moss Bluff, LA and Andrew Montgomery of Lake Charles, LA, paternal Grandmother; Ollie Smith Guillory of Lake Charles, LA, Maternal grandmother; Beverly George of Indiana, and maternal grandfather; Scott Wooley and wife Geni and numerous nieces and nephews and best friend, Kerry McMichael Williams.

Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Patrick Teal, Gary Teal, Kane Burke, Daryl Garcille, Nicki Burnworth, Cody Bulla and Brian Bernhardt.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Moss Bluff on Friday October 29, 2021 from 4pm until 9pm with a rosary at 6pm and resume Saturday at 8am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am at St. Theodore Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
