LAKE ARTHUR-  Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Theresa Authement Vincent, 92, of Lake Arthur will be held on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with The Rev. Jay Alexius officiating. Burial will follow in Shell Beach Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Vincent will begin on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at 9 a.m. in the Chapel at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, and continue until 1:30 p.m. in order to leave for church. A rosary will be recited at noon.

Mrs. Vincent was born in Lowery on March 9, 1929, to Sampson and Clemence Gaubert Authement. She grew up and spent her entire life in the Lake Arthur area. She was a home maker, and her time was busy raising and taking care of her children. Mrs. Vincent enjoyed playing cards and watching westerns. She loved hosting and cooking for her children when they visited her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Marie Kershaw of Lake Arthur, Linda (Ronnie) Nichols of Hemphill, Texas, Sarah (Earl) East of Sulphur, Betty Vincent of Mermentau; sons, Henry “Butch” (Kathy) Vincent, and Allen “Boo Boo” Vincent of Sulphur, Wilbert (Judy) Vincent of Jennings, Johnny (Deborah) Vincent, Carl “CJ” (Kathy) Vincent of Welsh; sister, Anna Alphonso of Cutoff, La.; 37  grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thozime Vincent; her parents; daughter, Rosa Perry; and son, Jimmy Vincent.

Carrying Mrs. Vincent to her place of rest will be pallbearers Payton Trahan, Brent Vincent, Justin Vincent, Johnny Vincent, Allen Vincent, and Mark Perry. Honorary pallbearers are Wilbert Vincent, Mike Stelly, Corey Simon, Coty Richard, and Carl James Vincent Jr.
