Della Glover, 82, departed this life on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born August 21, 1938, to the late George Glover and Elizabeth Glover in Manning, South Carolina.  She was a member of Way of the Cross Church where she served as an usher and Church Mother.  Later she joined Travelers’s Rest Baptist Church and served as an usher and  Church Mother.  She was currently a member of New Shiloh Baptist Church and also served as an usher and Mother of the Church. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Carolyn Glover, Yvonne Glover and Cynthia Glover; two sons, Kevin Glover and Chad (Wanda) Glover, all of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Leon (Helen) Glover, Sr., of Lake Charles, LA; two Godsons, Mychael Harnage and Andrea Williams; two Goddaughters, Traona Thomas all of Lake Charles, LA and Aniesha Cook of Fontana, CA

; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Glover, Shameka Glover, Crystal Glover,  Jasmine Glover, Ra’Sheeda Holland, Corey Bell, Kailah Baul, Kelsey Glover, Rosalyn Chatman and Andre Price, Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Erykah Glover, Jayla Glover, Aniyah Holland, Amarii Holland, Aaron Michael Bell, Kailynn McGuire and Jayden Chatman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Glover.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August, 28, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King’s Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA, under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.
