McNeese NFL Updates

In case you missed it while paying more attention to McNeese’s season opener at Kansas, NFL teams made their final roster decisions this weekend and a couple of former Cowboys will be receiving paychecks as a result.
Devin Holland, who signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent, made the Bucs’ 53-man roster after an impressive training camp. (Not to mention an expensive one, as he was fined twice by the league for hits in preseason games). Holland will wear No. 30 for the Bucs.
Quentin Lawrence, who was moved from wide receiver to cornerback by the Kansas City Chiefs right before the NFL lockout, is back on the team’s practice squad after a decent enough training camp for them to keep working with him at his new position.
Deron Minor was released by the Chicago Bears last week, but he ended his preseason on a high note with four tackles and an interception against the Browns. Minor’s strong finish stands to reason that the Bears or another team could add him to their practice squad over the course of the season.
