A 66-year-old Oberlin woman died Friday evening after a traffic accident on La. 26 near La. 102 in Hathaway, authorities said.

The woman, Louise Frank, was a passenger in a 2002 Ford Focus that hit a 2006 Toyota truck that turned into its path, state police said.

The Focus was heading north, and the truck was turning left into a parking lot from the southbound lane. The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was cited for improper left turn and no seatbelt, state police said. The driver of the Focus was wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t injured. Both drivers are 16 years old.

Frank was taken to Jennings American Legion Hospital, where she later died, state police said.

Authorities don’t think impairment was a factor in the crash.

Title: RIP Louise Frank

Keith, Jennifer, Brad, Julie, and the entire Frank Family ...we send out our deepest heart sympathy. You have suffered a great lost. She was a mother, wife, and an AWESOME person to know. She was also a dedicated mother to her children and gave people around her life lessons to know. She helped me to get on the right path in life by introducing me to our Lord and Savior, so I know she is in a good place right now. Words can not express the feelings you are feeling right now, and there are no words to comfort you. Just know that she is no longer suffering, and she is in a good place with our heavenly Father, Our Lord. Always remember the good times and all the fond memories and know one day you shall meet again. Your family will always be in our prayers. "Let Go, and Let God" ("Uplifting")
