JENNINGS — A 16-year-old is wanted for attempted manslaughter after an overnight shooting in Jennings left one man seriously injured, authorities said.
The victim, a 21-year-old male, remained in serious, but stable condition Monday afternoon, Police Chief Todd D’Albor said.
The shooting occurred shortly before midnight at a residence in the 700 block of Wilbert D. Rochelle Ave.
Several other people were inside the residence at the time of the shooting, but were not injured, D’Albor said.
The victim and the suspect, who is originally from Jennings but now lives outside the area, reportedly knew each other.
The name of the victim and suspect are not being released at this time, D’Albor said.
