One person is dead and another is in serious condition following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night on Interstate 210, city police said.

Cpl. Larry Moss, Lake Charles Police Department spokesman, said the accident happened near the Ryan Street exit.

Moss said both vehicles were traveling east on I-210 when one crashed into the back of the other.

The names of the victims have not been released pending the notification of next of kin.
