Temporary water service interruption scheduled for Park Drive

Beginning at 10 a.m. today, May 21, water service will be temporarily interrupted for customers living on Park Drive.

Personnel are notifying about 28 impacted customers via door-to-door visits and door hangers.

Expected to last approximately until 2 p.m., the service interruption is necessary to complete a repair to a water main tie in.

Following the restoration of water service, in compliance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, a temporary precautionary boil water advisory will be put in place for customers on the streets listed above.

The boil water advisory will likely last for about 24 hours. The city of Lake Charles will rescind the boil advisory upon notification from LDH that water samples collected and submitted for testing have met their water quality and safety requirements.
