Tasting on the Terrace tickets available Sept. 10

Tickets go on sale for the 10th annual Tasting on the Terrace starting at noon Sept. 10 at 220 Louie St. (Family and Youth) and 4402 Nelson Road (The Wine Store).

“With over 100 bottles open for side-by-side tasting, guests are able to indulge in an unique tasting experience, tasting multiple wines and deciding what suits their pallet, choosing from a variety of wines in red, rose and sparkling,” said Elizabeth Olbrych in an email to the American Press. “The hors d’oeuvres menu will include a variety of desserts, pastas, charcuterie spread and a fan favorite, roasted pig.”

The fun and spirited event will be held on the lush Event Center Terrace at L’Auberge Casino Resort  5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 24 and proceeds help support the Children’s Advocacy Center, a division of Family and Youth.

This child-friendly facility is designed to coordinate services for children who have been reported as sexually or severely physically abused. Well-trained staff work together with prosecutors, law enforcement, child protection investigators, social service workers, therapists victims advocates and medical professionals to investigate child abuse allegations and reduce the number of investigative interviews typically experienced by young victims, Olbrych said.

Tickets are $125. Use cash or check. For more information on sponsorship opportunities or tickets, contact Olbrych at 337-436-9533 or elizabeth@fyca.org.
