Sowela to host spring career fair March 26

Sowela Technical Community College will host a Spring Career Fair 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday, March 26 in the Sycamore Student Center at the main campus in Lake Charles. Current students and alums of the college are welcome to attend. More than 75 organizations from around the region will participate, with all employers actively hiring.
“Attending the Career Fair is a valuable opportunity for Sowela students and alumni to gain insights into career options, meet prospective employers, and enhance their professional networks. We welcome all job-seeking students and alumni to participate,” shared Joseph W. Lavergne, director of Recruitment and Career Services.
Various organizations from different employment sectors will attend, including hospitality; hospitals and health care organizations; local, state and federal agencies; industrial companies; financial services; and many more.
Space is available for employers that would like to participate. Vendors receive lunch and a hospitality room. The deadline to register is Friday, March 14. To secure a vendor booth or learn more about attending, call (337) 421-6540 or email career.services@sowela.edu.
