Party like it’s 2025: Hot spots to ring in the new year

Lake Charles will be ringing in 2025 with several live performances and late-night parties on Tuesday.

• From 7-9 p.m. at Ray’s Lounge, 3529 Ryan St., Lake Charles native and international comedian Jen Kober will host “Jen Kober’s Big Fat Funny New Year’s Eve Celebration.” The 21/2-hour show will feature Kober, Ryan Rogers and Jeff Vance. General admission is $50. Dinner, charcuterie boards, desserts and bottomless mimosas are included. Additional spirits and cocktails will be available at half price for ticket holders. Guests can pay $75 for VIP, which includes preferred seating.

• Across the lake, The Cove, 3609 Davis Road in Westlake, will host an all-out party complete with live music, drink specials and a raffle from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Starting at 9 p.m., local band Kevin Barton and The Honky-Tonk Therapist will perform into the new year. Entry is free.

• Nostalgic celebrations begin at 8 p.m. at Luna Bar & Grill Downtown, 719 Ryan St. “NYE ’25: Total Request Luna” invites guests to dress up as their favorite musician from the past 25 years as they revel in the tradition of MTV music videos and 2000s fashion. Entry is $15. Bottles of champagne will be offered for $25. There will be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The party will last until 2 a.m.

•Cajun’s Wharf Grill & Bar, 3500 Ryan St., will host a party with cover band Flashback & Robin from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. General admission is $10 and tables can be reserved for $50. At midnight, tables and patrons at the bar will be treated with complimentary champagne.

• Local R&B and soul band Fools and Sages will play in the new year at Panorama Music House’s, 329 Broad St.  The party will be hosted from 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Entry is free.
