Sulphur Police Amend Arrest Charges to Manslaughter

<p class="p1">SULPHUR –   On the morning of July 25th Sulphur Police responded to the 600 block of West Carlton Street in reference to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they discovered an unconscious white male near one of the residences.  The white male victim had obvious head trauma and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was in listed in critical condition.</p><p class="p1">Sulphur Police Detectives identified Kelly Dutile, 36 from Sulphur, as the person a person of interest in the case.  Dutile later confessed to being involved in a fistic encounter with the victim on the night the victim was found injured. On Friday morning, August 3rd, Dutile was arrested and charged with Second Degree Battery.</p><p class="p1">Late Friday night, the victim died in a lake area hospital as a result of his injuries. The charge of Second Degree Battery will be amended to manslaughter. Bond hasn’t been set.</p>””<p>Sulphur man Kelly Dutile’s original charge of Second Degree Battery will be amended to manslaughter.</p>
