Belts Plus: Knowledgeable staff, competitive prices keep customers coming back

Belts Plus group

Cameron Goodeaux, Dewey Begnaud, Owner Rawlin Stewart and Melvin Thibodeaux are ready to serve you at Belts Plus.

Some homeowners are taking advantage of their time at home to mow the yard, spring clean the house and complete maintenance and repair jobs. The guys at Belts Plus were doing a brisk business last week, well separated from each other and the customers who needed belts or wanted to make sure they have belts on hand when they begin their projects.

No other store carries such a complete line of belts for a range of applications. Belts Plus has belts for auto, vacuum, washer, dryer, VCR, residential and commercial mowers, four-wheeler, combine, and the list goes on.Belts PLus counter

Purchasing belts and other parts before the mowing season begins means not having to stop in the middle of the job to make a belt run.

Need lawnmower parts?

“We don’t just carry belts,” said Melvin Thibodeaux, manager. “We carry a complete line of lawnmower parts including blades, idler pulleys, spindles, tires, tubes, air and oil filters.”cords.jfif belts plus

Thibodeaux, Dewey Begnaud and Cameron Goodeaux can not only fix customers up with the belts and lawnmower parts they need, they also do it with a healthy dose of humor in the process, much welcomed in every season, but particularly now in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Bring in the belt or blade you’re replacing,” advised Dewey Begnaud. “That’s the best way to ensure you’ll get the right one when you leave.”

Without the item, it may be necessary to have the model and serial number. Thibodeaux offered the following helpful suggestions:Belts Plus Tires

For timing belts and lawnmower tires, visit Belts Plus.

“Before you take off the belt, use your cell phone to take a photo of how it’s routed. I also advise replacing both riding lawnmower belts at the same time because of the inter-play between two drive belts in a variable-speed pulley system. To make deck belts last longer, clean the deck after the lawnmower is used. Excessive grass clippings can work under pulleys and deck overs and lead to more serious problems than a belt change.”

Rawlin Stewart is owner of Belts Plus.

“We opened in 1985,” Stewart said. “Like any business, customer service can make you or break you. This business is no different. Customers want what they want when they want it. I think in addition to our service, our customers appreciate our prices. Those are the two things that keep them coming back.”

Spring clean the carBelts Plus products

Now’s a good time to spring-clean the car as well as the home, and Belts Plus has the products needed.

Some commuters spend quite a bit of time in their vehicles, and most everyone is familiar with the price tag of new and used cars. To keep rides looking and smelling their best, inside and out, visit Belts Plus and get the perfect products to spring-clean the auto.

Car wash owners, new and used auto dealers and customers particular about their vehicles know all about the Belts Plus complete line of car cleaning, polishing, deodorizing and detailing products.

“Household cleaners will work,” said Cameron Goodeaux, “but car care products created to clean the car have added benefits, and certain household products can be damaging.”counter detail.jfif
