Girlfriend receives additional charges

Staff Reports

A woman accused of helping her boyfriend dispose of his wife’s body has received additional charges, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Wednesday that Sarah M. Parker has been charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles during the commission of a felony.

Parker was previously charged with obstruction of justice and failure to report a homicide. Judge Guy Bradberry has set her new bond at $160,000.

Sheriff Tony Mancuso said during a news conference last week that he got a tip from the Beauregard Sheriff’s Office of a man and woman “driving around with a body in their car, looking for a place to dump it.” Deputies located the car on N. Franklin Street in Lake Charles.

Driving the car was Parker, 24, 2553 Brackenridge Road, Moss Bluff; Cpl. Logan Kyle, 22, was her passenger. Parker’s two children, ages 1 and 2, were in the back seat.

Mancuso said Kyle’s wife, Shelena Kyle, 22, had been killed at Fort Polk by her husband and that Parker attempted to aid him with the disposal and concealment of her body.

Fort Polk Public Affairs Officer Kim Reischling said Shelena Kyle, 22, was a member of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.

Kyle’s husband, also a member of the combat team, has been arrested in her death.””Sarah Parker – additional charges
