CPSO Arrests Man For 1st Degree Rape

News Release

Lake Charles – On August 3 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to a rape.

When detectives spoke with the victim she stated an acquaintance, John Ledoux, 60, 861 Goos Ferry Road, Lake Charles, held her against her will and raped her the previous day.  During further investigation it was learned her injuries, as well as, evidence at the crime scene corroborated what she told detectives.    

Detectives located Ledoux later the same day and he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 1st degree rape; and false imprisonment.  Judge Guy Bradberry set his bond at $700,000.   

CPSO Detective Jacob Dore is the lead investigator on this case.
