Local pair charged in 2023 death of infant

A Lake Charles pair have been arrested in the 2023 death of an infant.

Police Lt. Jeffrey Keenum said officers responded to a call about an unresponsive infant just after 9:30 p.m. March 17, 2023, to the 600 block of Enterprise Boulevard in reference to an unresponsive infant. He said the infant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where the baby was pronounced deceased.

Keenum said Sgt. Joey Romero and Sgt. William Loving arrested Donald Louis Guidry Jr., 49, on Monday for an outstanding warrant for second-degree murder. Judge Tony Fazzio signed the warrant and set Guidry’s bond at $750,000.

Two hours after Guidry’s arrest, Lindsey Kay Cole — also known as Lindsey Kay Hollowell, 31 — was arrested on an outstanding warrant for second-degree murder. Fazzio set her bond also at $750,000.

Sgt. Benjamin Randolph is the lead investigator on this case. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to call Sgt. Randolph at 337-491-1311.
