What are your hopes for the new year? We asked readers to share their thoughts

Stitch Guillory: My hope for 2025 is to continue fostering connections between law enforcement and our community, and work hard to keep citizens safe. On a personal level, I look forward to creating new memories with my wife and three children and enjoy our time together.

Amy Broussard: To be able to slow down, be present, and spend quality time with family and friends.

Lindsay Wilson: To handle work-life balance with ease and patience. To say YES to being more adventurous.

Stacy Hebert: Improve my relationship with God, spend more time with family and friends and to keep pushing with the new business.

Kayla Vincent: I hope to dedicate more time for personal growth and community involvement as well as travel more with family.

Katie Harrington: To finish 2025 with only one semester of grad school remaining. I hope to graduate in May 2026.

Mark Judson: My community hope is that the  JUST IMAGINE SWLA 50-Year Resilience Master Plan continues to progress and gain momentum — especially Bayou Greenbelt. My personal hope is to be a better version of myself.  My spiritual hope is to improve my Relationship with God — more of Thee, less of me.

Lora DeVille: To spend more quality, intentional time with my kids and more date nights with my spouse.

Wade Rousse: We are focused on adding to the positive numbers from the fall semester, and we are working to increase placement rates. My hope is that every graduate from Our McNeese leaves with a job in hand (if they want one)! In addition, we want folks to understand the “Ride For The Brand” campaign. We need everyone pulling in the same direction if we are to obtain our objectives.

Chezli Primeaux: Hoping and praying to complete my master’s degree and graduate this May!

Holly Holland: I hope that in 2025 I continue to live out God’s purpose for my life through my children, in my community, and in my profession.

Jason VanMetre: My hope for myself in 2025 is that I continue to learn and grow as well as spending more time with family.

Brett Downer: I hope the Children’s Museum, which opens soon as the centerpiece of the lakefront, inspires another generation of arts and cultural excellence in our area.

Jennifer Garner: My goal for 2025 is to read the whole Bible. By doing so I hope to instill healthier habits and to invest more energy into my kids and friendships.

Elizabeth McLaughlin: My hope is that we Make America Great Again.

Sydney Veillion: To build our forever home!
