Deputies working homicide in Topsy

TOPSY – Jeff Davis Parish authorities are investigating a homicide at a residence in Topsy near the Calcasieu-Jeff Davis Parish line.

The body of a white male believed to be in his mid-30s was found around 9:30 a.m. on the front porch of a residence in the 200 block of Ieyoub Road, according to Commander Chris Ivey.

Ivey said the body was discovered by Calcasieu Parish deputies who were responding to a neighbor’s concern about the door of the residence being open, he said.

The coroner has ruled the death a homicide, Ivey said.

No other details, including the victim’s name and cause of death, are being released pending further investigation.””crime scene tapeMGNonline
