LCPD work Wednesday shooting as homicide

<em>Updated 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018</em>

On 08-01-2018 at 8:40pm Lake Charles Police responded to a report of a shooting near Lake Street and Idlewilde Ln.

Upon arrival Officer located a white female deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.  Officer learned that the shooting took place inside a vehicle as it was exiting off of I-210 onto Lake Street.  The deceased person was identified as Lori Estelle Tanner, 38 years of age, 4650 Nelson Rd., Lake Charles, La.

Investigator learned that Tanner was a passenger in a vehicle with her fiancé traveling on I-210 when she was shot and killed as a result of the injury.  Michael Edwin Vice, white male, 46 years of age, address: 4650 Nelson Rd. Lake Charles, La. was arrested for the death of Tanner and charged with 2<sup>nd</sup> degree Murder. 

A warrant was prepared and presented to Judge Guy Bradberry, who signed the warrant with a $1,000,000.00 bond.

Both Vice and Tanner are originally from Pascagoula, Mississippi.

At this time it can be reported that one person has been pronounced deceased and police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
