Authorities: Man arrested on animal cruelty, drugs charges

The Associated Press

FERRIDAY — A man was arrested on animal cruelty and drug charges after deputies received a complaint of drug activity.

The Natchez Democrat reports 37-year-old Session Bosley Jr. was arrested Tuesday and charged with several offenses that include five counts of cruelty to animals and drug paraphernalia.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick says when deputies arrived, they spotted Bosley selling drugs outside the residence and then going inside.

Hederick says when authorities entered the residence they found several pit bulls, weapons and drugs such as cocaine and ecstasy.

Hedrick says one of the dogs had scissor wounds to its ear and another dog had an untreated broken leg. The dogs were taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment.

It’s unclear if Bosley has a lawyer.
