Shoppers previewed Holiday House beginning Thursday and discovered gifts and goodies galore.

Holiday House is a Sulphur Christmas Under the Oaks tradition and the major fundraiser for the Brimstone Historical Society.

Large tents and the upstairs and downstairs of the Henning House held the wares of local vendors — including T-shirts and upscale clothing for women of all sizes, including stylish hats. Jewelry designers offered necklaces, earrings and bracelets crafted from sterling silver and antique China patterns.

Another offered great designs for adults for $5 and a $1 special for children’s fun jewelry.

Delicious baked goods glistened as brightly as the jewelry. Plenty of toys, candles, handmade gifts, farmhouse decor and stocking stuffers were priced to sell.

Care Help has transformed one of the Miner’s Houses into a holiday and gift décor lover’s dream with new and looks-brand-new items in every corner and on every surface.

Purchases from Care Help goes to help the area’s neediest families.

Admission is $5. Plan enough time to browse and enjoy coffee and something yummy.

Here’s the set up. The first tent, The Nutcracker Hall, holds 11 shops. The upstairs and downstairs of the Henning House holds nine and the Holly Jolly Shoppers tent holds eight.

The Henning House is located at 923 Ruth St. in Sulphur. The Holiday House opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Christmas Parade is at 11 a.m. Christmas Under the Oaks also includes food vendors, a carnival, and at 8:30 p.m., a chance of snow. Musical entertainment lineup is as follows: Cajun Ramblers, 12 p.m.; WW Lewis Show Choir, 2 p.m.; Blake Harlow, 3 p.m.; Caden Gillard, 4:30 p.m.; Sammy Kershaw Acoustic, 6:30 p.m.
