QB Narcisse says he’s leaving LSU
McMillan reportedly considering leaving
LSU’s crowded, four-man quarterback competition got one player smaller Tuesday and could be cut in half.
One of the four in the race, redshirt freshman Lowell Narcisse, announced via Twitter Tuesday night that he was transferring, while another, fourth-year junior Justin McMillan was not at practice earlier while reportedly mulling his career options.

That left with LSU with two scholarship quarterbacks at practice, sophomore Myles Brennan and Joe Burrows, a highly touted graduate transfer from Ohio State.
Head coach Ed Orgeron, who has maintained all along that the competition is wide open, was unavailable for comment as he was not scheduled to meet with the media following Tuesday’s practice and won’t be until after today’s practice.
Narcisse appeared to have no hard feelings while announcing he was leaving the program.
“I’ve decided the best thing for my future is to transfer and get a fresh start,” he posted on his Twitter account.
Narcisse, a 6-foot-4, 240-pounder who redshirted as a true freshman last year after undergoing two knee surgeries while at St. James High, thanked LSU, Orgeron, offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger and his teammates for “a great opportunity at one of the BEST programs in America.”
But he said that, “After sitting down and talking with my family” he thought it was best to transfer “and be able to have an opportunity to showcase my abilities.”
McMillan, a fourth-year junior from Cedar Hill, Texas, was said by multiple media outlets to be taking time off to evaluate his future.
McMillan earned his degree this summer and would be immediately eligible to play elsewhere should he decide to transfer.
