Severe weather expected tonight

News Release

A tornado watch is now in effect for southeast Texas. Additional tornado watches will likely be issued further east in southwest, central, and south central Louisiana this evening.

A line of strong to severe storms will move across our region later this evening through the overnight hours. There is a significant chance for strong tornadoes, so everyone should stay alert for warnings through the overnight hours.

One to two inches of rain is expected, with locally higher amounts of three to five inches possible. In the areas where the heaviest rains fall, expect to see some flooding.
