CPSO to conduct free boater education course

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Marine Division will be conducting a boater education course on Tuesday, June 4, at Lake Charles Sail & Power Squadron, located at 3106 Kiwanis Lane, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The class is free of charge and is open to any member of the public, age 10 and up.

Louisiana law requires all persons born after Jan. 1, 1984, to complete a LDWF approved boater education course to operate a motorboat over 10 horsepower or a personal watercraft.
