Leesville to regulate auto retail businesses
LEESVILLE — The City Council on Monday adopted an ordinance to regulate the size of auto retail businesses, limiting the number of vehicles stored at such businesses to one for every 200 square feet of lot space.
The decision to introduce the ordinance wasn’t based on any existing businesses, said planning director Grant Bush.
“This was done in an effort to prepare for the future, so that we don’t have any problems down the road,” Bush said.
The ordinance, introduced July 10, was approved unanimously Monday after no one opposed it during a public hearing.
