Due to the prediction of some heavy rainfall in the area, the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Office of Homeland Security has made preparations for possible flooding.

Sand and sandbags will be available at all Police Jury barns for those who need to prepare for the coming weather.

Oakdale and Oberlin areas are predicted to receive 1 to 1.5 inches of rain with a possible increase to up to 2.5 inches.
