Jackie Ann Wix, age 69, of Westlake, La. passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025. Jackie was born on July 19, 1955 in Sulphur, La. to Elroy and Audrey Simon. 

Jackie loved going to the camp to fish. Spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She enjoyed sitting on the swing with her husband and teaching her grandkids to fish!

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Brooklyn; grandson, Joseph; sister, Ellen Simon; twin sister, JoAnn Brantley, and brothers, Douglas James Simon and Carl Joseph Simon. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Mike Wix; son, Joseph Wix; son, Jared Wix; daughter, Nickie LeBleu (Troy); son, Douglas James “D.J.” Simon (Ashley); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, Feb. 13 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. 

Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake with the Rev. Jody LaFleur officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
