The Lake Charles City Council will be voting on multiple authorizations that will allow the city of Lake Charles to enter into agreements with qualified proposals that were received from multiple Request for Proposals (RFP) at the upcoming council meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
The first of these would allow the city of Lake Charles to enter agreements with qualified firms that responded to an RFP for appraisal services for the HOME and CDBG housing programs.
For the Home and CDBG housing rehabilitation programs, the city sent out a Request for Qualifications to find licensed lead-based paint testing services. The council will also be voting to authorize the city to enter an agreement with the most qualified respondent.
The council will also vote to authorize the city to enter into an agreement with the most qualified proposal that was received from a RFP for pre-disaster contracts to supply materials and equipment that would be needed for mitigation in the case of disaster.
The city also sent out RFPs for disaster debris management services and disaster debris monitoring and management services. The council will be voting to authorize the City to enter agreements with the most proposals that were received for these RFPs as well.
Six public hearings regarding structure demolitions are scheduled for the meeting, including a structure located at 3828 Ernest St., owned by the Congregation of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish Roman Catholic Church.
