Braydon Joubert hit a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give LSU a 6-5 win over Oregon State in the winner’s bracket game at the Baton Rouge regional.

Barbe graduate Gavin Guidry pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save.

The Tigers advance to Monday’s championship round. They will have two chances to win one game against the winner of the Oregon State-Sam Houston State elimination game played late Sunday.  The winner of that game would have to beat LSU twice to win the regional.
