The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver involved in an early morning hit-and-run that occurred March 16 in two neighborhoods off North Perkins Ferry Road in Moss Bluff.

Spokesperson Kayla Vincent said the truck — described as a dark-colored F-250 with cab lights on the top — was headed south on Haniel Drive when it approached the stop sign at the intersection of Khamiel Drive.

“The truck proceeded straight past the stop sign, driving through the yards in between houses on Khamiel Drive and Poeyfarre Drive, struck an electrical box, causing a fire, then fled the scene,” Vincent said.

The truck has illuminating F-250 emblems on both sides.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to call the lead investigator, Sgt. Casey Steech at 337-491-3846 and reference case number 23-31277.
