Johnny Edwards Mounce, 79 of Sulphur passed away on Dec. 2, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
Johnny enjoyed life and had many hobbies, he liked to go to the casinos to try his luck and always enjoyed driving his Mustang. He enjoyed reading a good book especially when it came to studying theology. He loved sharing and discussing religion with his family and friends. Johnny loved collecting coins and always looked for the rare coins. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kim Qualls, Jolanda Bourgeois (Greg), Terri Beth Shook (Steve), Scott Mounce, Brandon Mounce (Bridget), John Tyler Mounce; 12 grandkids; 18 great-grandkids; and his companion, Jessica Rougeau of seven years.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Gwyn; his parents; sisters, Shirley, Barbara; and brother, Ronald.
Funeral services for Johnny will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South. Visitation will be at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m.
