Noah Ray Vincent, infant son of Jennings and Carrie Vincent of Lake Charles, passed away in the arms of his parents on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022 in a New Orleans hospital.
Noah was born on Sept. 11, 2022. He was tiny but mighty weighing two pounds and four ounces. Although he was only here a short time on Earth, Noah made a big impact and touched many lives around him. He was so well loved by so many people. For being so young, he was very strong and very feisty. He loved to be wrapped tightly and snuggled on his belly, having his hair brushed after a bath, and being held by his parents every day.
He fought a very hard fight in his 18 days of life but he was only meant to be here a short amount of time like a nighttime shooting star. He will be remembered every day for a lifetime and more and will never be forgotten.
Noah leaves behind to cherish his precious memory his parents, Jennings and Carrie; maternal grandmother, Lori Kibodeaux; paternal grandparents, Lauren and Bill Vincent; maternal great-grandmother, Jackie Kibodeaux; paternal great-grandparents, Martin Van Vincent and Gerdell Theriot; and Godparents, Martin Vincent and Carah Thierbach all of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Ronald Ray Kibodeaux; and paternal great-grandfather, Thomas Ray Theriot Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will begin on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service. A private burial will take place in Consolata Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Memorial Hospital for Women for everything they have done as well as all of the staff at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help take care of outstanding medical expenses for Noah or to Holden’s Hope, holdenshopeforever.org.
