AT&T customers and FirstNet subscribers in Kinder and Oakdale are getting a big boost in wireless connectivity and communications thanks to AT&T’s network expansion in the areas.

“Our area residents, businesses, and first responders rely on strong, wireless connectivity, and these investments will strengthen our community and improve capabilities for reliable communications,” state Rep. R. Dewith Carrier said

AT&T has added a new cell tower to enhance the area’s coverage and help give residents and first responders faster, more reliable wireless service.

“More than ever before, personal and public safety rely on consistent and reliable communications, and these improvements to the wireless capabilities in the area are essential to my team and our neighbors across the Parish,” Sheriff Doug Hebert said.

A&T Regional Director Levar Greenhouse said the company is continually working to help close the digital divide by expanding and enhancing its services to keep consumers, businesses and first responders connected.

“We are committed to investing in the modern, high-speed network infrastructure necessary in today’s economy,” Greenhouse said.

AT&T has invested more than $1.1 billion in wireless and wireless networks in Louisiana from 2019 to 2021 to boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.
