An Elton man has been charged after he allegedly slapped and punched his daughter in the face.

Ronald David Lafleur, 62, was arrested Saturday and charged with domestic abuse battery, according to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies had been called to the residence for a domestic violence incident allegedly between Lafieur and his daughter.

The daughter told deputies she had been slapped and punched in the face, which caused her to fall onto the ground, injuring her knee, Chief Deputy Chris Ivey said. Deputies observed a bloody leg and her lip busted, he said.
