Hubie “Butch” Brown, 73, passed Aug. 2, 2022 in a local hospital.
A native to Westlake, Butch was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired member of I.B.E.W. Local 861.
Survivors include a sister, Katherine Prater of Lake Charles; sons, Chad Brown of Westlake, Chance and Tina Brown of Sulphur; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his dog, Sunshine.
A Memorial Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake, Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. The Rev. Jenesh Joseph will officiate. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
