Marlana J. Bergeron, 42, of Moss Bluff, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022 in her residence. Marlana was born on Jan. 6, 1980 in Sulphur, La. to Rodney and Elaine Laughlin Decou. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, traveling, especially going to zoos. She also loved gardening and drinking her coffee and was a fan of murder mysteries and lifetime movies.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 23 years, Sean Bergeron; twin daughters, Baylee Bergeron and Haylee Bergeron; father, Rodney Decou; grandmother, Gloria Laughlin; brothers, Christopher Erbelding and Nick Decou; sister, Julia Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Erbelding; sister, Nikki Erbelding Johnson; grandparents, Lloyd Laughlin, Leo Paul Decou and Verna Mae Decou; uncles, Dwayne Tate, Elvis Laughlin and Lloyd Laughlin, Jr. “Bubba”.
Funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Sifford officiating. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
