Along with brewing their own beer – about 20 on tap – the Crying Eagle Brewing Company is brewing up some heady enthusiasm for its second annual Lake Charles’ Got Talent competition. The fun takes place Saturday, August 6, 7 p.m to 10 p.m.

“We’ve had a great response. Forty contestants have signed up so far,” said Saige Mestayer, Crying Eagle. “We’re working now to narrow down the talent who will perform on Saturday.”

Mestayer said some of the acts include a fire dancer, a magician, an escape artist, singers, musicians and poets.

Contestants will perform. Five judges, to include someone in management from Crying Eagle, a public figure and popular entertainer, will determine the top four acts and share their comments with the contestants and the audience. The audience will choose the ultimate winner for the second annual Lake Charles’ Got Talent at the Crying Eagle.

Lake Charles’ Got Talent is free to the public. Crying Eagle is a tap room, brewery, beer garden and bistro at 1165 E. McNeese St.
