Gerald Dwayne “JJ” Lyons Jr., 39, passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1982, in Lake Charles, La., to Gerald Dwayne Lyons, Sr. and Doris “Darcy” Brewer Fontenot. JJ enjoyed cooking and was known to family and friends as “Chef Boy OG”. He loved spending time with his family and touched everyone’s heart. He lit up the room and was always the Life of the party.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kolton Charles Dwayne Lyons, Caydance Alyce Lyons, Kallen George Morvant and Carina Alizabeth Morvant; grandson, William Joseph Charles Lyons; parents; brother, Dustin Joseph Lawson (Ashley); paternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Lyons; companion, Wendi White and daughter Joslen Sellars; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ted Lyons; maternal grandparents, L.O. Brewer Sr. and Virginia Brewer.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, from 10 a.m. until noon.
Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
